INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT TO BE FEATURED AT MINGEI FUSION 2.0

International food and entertainment will be featured at MINGEI FUSION 2.0, the second edition of last year’s successful fundraiser at Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park. The date is Wednesday, May 5, the time 6 p.m. The lead sponsor of the event again this year is Audrey Geisel.

A variety of restaurants and caterers will offer tastings of African, Cuban, Mexican and American cuisines at food stations in the Museum with wine, beer and sake pairings, while performing artists from Mexico, Polynesia and other lands entertain. A roving magician will enchant guests. For those who prefer seated table service, the Fusion Lounge on the second floor of the Museum will offer reserved seating and a special tasting plate served by an exclusive caterer.

“Mingei Fusion is not-to-be-missed,” said Louie Nguyen, co-chair of the host committee for MINGEI FUSION 2.0. “Everyone was impressed by last year’s event, saying it was classy, fun, with great performers and a superb selection of international food. The plans for this year promise to be even better!”

Participation in this unique benefit is limited to 300 guests with tickets offered at $100 for members, $125 for non-members and $150 for reserved seating and table service in the Fusion Lounge. Early Bird reservations, available through April 26, are $75 for members and $100 for non-members. A special dining opportunity for sponsors at the $1,000 level is reserved seating for two at the Museum’s beautiful Nakashima Table in the Fusion Lounge area along with a special patron gift and valet parking. Located at 1439 El Prado in Balboa Park, Mingei International Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday,10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and closed on Mondays and national holidays.
