In conjunction with the Museum’s SURF CRAFT exhibition, join us for an evening celebrating the history and culture of surfing in the Baja region of Mexico. Presenters will include Zach Plopper, Coastal and Marine Director, of WILDCOAST, Alfredo Ramirez, Founder and current President, UAPO ( United Athletes of the Pacific Ocean) and Nik Strong-Cvetich, Executive Director, Save The Waves Coalition. They will present on important bi-national conservation and advocacy work that is being conducted in the region and will discuss Mexico’s rich surfing history and individuals from both sides of the border who have contributed to its story. A reception and book signing will follow with wine from the Baja region.
