Genius Friday Nights

Soak up more GENIUS this summer with extended hours at the Museum on Friday nights. Join us on July 10th to kick off our Movies @Mingei Film Series featuring award-winning documentaries focusing on self-taught artists. Bring a friend to take advantage of easier evening parking while enjoying the films, exhibitions, bites and beer after-hours. The Collectors’ Gallery and Café Mingei will be open late too, so you can treat yourself to something special.

Each week’s film(s) will focus on a different self-taught artist, some of whom are featured in the Museum’s current exhibition SELF-TAUGHT GENIUS, from the American Folk Art Museum in New York City. Movies start at 6:00pm.
