Girl Scouts

Mingei International Museum offers Girl Scouts, both troops and individual girls, engaging and interactive experiences within a Museum environment. Participate in unique leadership opportunities, interesting art making activities and make connections to artists and art forms from all eras and cultures around the world.

Tours

Participate in a free Docent-led tour of Mingei International Museum’s exhibitions of folk, craft and design from around the world, and then enhance your visit with a hands-on art workshop inspired by the art forms on view in the Museum’s galleries. Your troop can choose from a variety of projects inspired by the Museum’s collection, designed to build upon student’s knowledge and understanding through personal creative expression.

Mingei Studio Classes

Workshops are available for Brownie, Junior and Cadette troops and are priced at $5 per Girl Scout. Classes must be booked at least two weeks in advance in conjunction with a Docent-led tour and are offered based on availability.

Family Sunday

Join us on the third Sunday of each month for an interactive event designed specifically for families. Explore the Museum’s colorful exhibitions, make an art project, complete a treasure hunt, talk to a docent, take home prizes, and most of all, have fun!
