COMMUNITY QUILT BUILDING
Inspired by works in the Museum’s exhibition BOLD EXPRESSIONS – African American Quilts from the Collection of Corrine Riley, join us for a community quilt building workshop!
Quilter, seamstress and professional storyteller Linda Brown will help participants create personal quilt squares using fabric markers and strips of scrap fabric. Linda will then sew each square into a community memory quilt that will later be exhibited at the Museum.
All materials are included, but participants are encouraged to bring scrap fabric or old clothing items to personalize their quilt squares.
