The Annual Appeal

A gift to Mingei International's Annual Appeal helps provide in progress conservation and maintenance of the Museum's renowned Collections as well as essential revenue for daily operations.

Donor Groups

Connoisseurs ($5,000 annually) – Play a major role in acquisitions by joining the Connoisseurs. Since its inception, the Connoisseurs have helped the Museum purchase more than 150 important additions to its permanent collection, including magnificent Indonesian jewelry, Navajo weavings and Dale Chihuly glass.

Founder’s Circle ($10,000 annually) – Join a donor group created in 2008 in recognition of the Museum’s 30th Anniversary year and provide essential support for current and future needs in three areas:

Exhibition Sponsorship

Mingei International creates stunning exhibitions for thousands of visitors to enjoy at both Museum locations and for traveling exhibitions viewed elsewhere. Exhibition sponsorships are available at various levels and offer many marketing and recognition opportunities.

Education Underwriting

Mingei International offers Museum experiences to hundreds of students annually from throughout San Diego County and northern Mexico. Gifts of support, including transportation underwriting, are welcome at any level.
