Frances Hamilton White Art Reference Library

The Frances Hamilton White Art Reference Library at the Balboa Park Museum is a rich resource for art lovers and research scholars. The Library’s holdings include a specialized collection of over 9,000 books, 200 videos and many art journal subscriptions related to the Museum’s collection and philosophy.

With comfortable reading niches, two video stations and a conference table, the Library is the perfect place for Museum members to deepen their knowledge of folk art, craft and design, conduct their own research or simply browse.

The Library is open to Museum members at all levels, and to others by appointment, Tuesday through Friday, 10:00am – noon and 1:00pm – 4:00pm. In addition, you can search for a book or just browse the Library’s collection anytime through the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC).
