PRIVATE EVENTS
Entertain in an elegant setting amid treasures from throughout the world. Mingei International welcomes corporate groups, organizations and private groups
at both its locations. The Museum is available for receptions, dinners, luncheons and meetings – the perfect setting for groups of 50 – 300, whether you
choose Balboa Park or Escondido.
The Museum's exhibitions provide an extraordinary setting for your dinner, reception or meeting. With two locations — in San Diego's glorious Balboa Park and Escondido's charming downtown — Mingei International offers a convenient choice of venues and exhibitions. Private events during non-public hours allow use of the entire Museum.
In Balboa Park, the two-story Cornell Rotunda Gallery is a space to welcome your guests before they dine in the Warren Theater Gallery or mingle at a cocktail reception on the Upper Level, where they'll be surrounded by elegant furniture designed by George Nakashima, the renowned 20th-century American woodworker.
Hold a private reception in the Escondido Museum's Grand Plaza Gallery — two stories high with Niki de Saint Phalle's Angel of Temperance hovering overhead — or use the Library as a more intimate space for dinner or a business meeting.
Whatever your plans, Mingei International Museum offers the opportunity to entertain guests and colleagues surrounded by objects of rare beauty and originality — timeless art of the people.
